“I regret wasting 25 years with Congress”: HBS

Pratidin Bureau

While addressing a Bharatiya Janata Yuva Marcha (BJYM) Yuva Maha Adhiveshan at Hyderabad in Telangana, Assam finance minister Himanta Biswa Sarma (HBS) said that he regretted wasting 25 years of his life with Indian National Congress Party.

Attacking Congress president Rahul Gandhi, Sarma said "I regret having wasted 25 years in Congress. When I meet members of BJYM, it's so heartening to see you all chant 'Bharat Mata Ki Jai. In Congress we were taught "Rahul Gandhi Ki Jai'.

HBS previously mocked the Congress President exactly a year back by saying that Rahul Gandhi is more interested in feeding his dog then listening to Assam's problem.

He further slammed the Congress party and went on to say that the party conspires with Pakistan to create unrest in India over the Rafale deal issue.

Praising the number one and two of BJP, the finance minister said "Unlike PM Nehru who had almost shunned Assam at time of China attack, our PM Narendra Modi calls Assam and Northeast integral to India. PM and BJP President Amit Shah work tirelessly to bring Northeast into national mainstream.

He also assured the BJYM members present in the event that BJP will once again win more than 400 seats in the coming Lok Sabha elections in 2019.
