HSLC Results: Mason’s son from Biswanath scores 95.8%

The Boardof Secondary Education, Assam (SEBA) has announced the Assam HSLC and AHMresults on Wednesday (May 15). The pass percentage saw a relative increase of4.19 percent in comparison to the previous year's 56.04 percent.

Meanwhile,the son of a mason (Raaj-Mistri) brought laurels to Biswanath Chariali area byscoring 95.8 percent marks in the HSLC examination. Rocky Sahu is the studentof Khorasimolu High school.

Thankingthe family members as well as his teachers after the achievement, Rocky told,"I thank all, who have supported me; this was not possible without theirsupport."

Rockyscored 100 out 100 in Mathematics, 99 in Science, 99 in Social Science, 91 inEnglish, 91 in Assamese and 95 in Computer Science.

His father never allowed the financial crisis come in the way of his son's education. Speaking to media after his son's success, Rocky's father said, "We are poor and it was hard to run the family, but I never neglected my son's studies."

On the other hand, Assam Minister Ranjit Dutta took the responsibility of Rocky's higher studies following the declaration of the HSLC result. Rocky wants to pursue engineering in the near future.
