Himanta ignores protest by 108,102

Pratidin Bureau

On Thursday, Assam health minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma had expressed his opinion regarding the ongoing protest of 108, 102 health workers. In a statement to media, Sarma said that the government is not accountable for the protest as GVK-EMRI is their boss.

"Government has not tried to perceive their internal problems and doesn't know about the cause of internal feud between GVK EMRI and 108,102 workers. The strike of 108, 102 workers will compel government to take alternative measure. Government has planned to provide financial aid of Rs 1000 to the pregnant women, who have suffered severely due to the protest of 108,102 workers." He added.
