Himanta denies link to convoy crash

Assam Finance Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma has reiterated his denial that a vehicle in his convoy veered off the NH 15 and hit three-bike borne youths near Baghmari in Biswanath district on Thursday evening.

In a statement, Dr Sarma made it clear that his convoy didn't involved in the case. As a coincidence Dr. Sarma's convoy had stopped there, after which the accident took place. Actually, the three-bike borne youths bumped into a truck.

As per reports, the minister was on his way from Lakhimpur to Guwahati when the incident took place. According to reports, MP Pallab Lochan Das was also seen with Minister Sarma.
