Guwahati to host first ODI between India and West Indies on October 21

Guwahati's ACA stadium in Barsapara will host its first international One-day international (ODI) match on October 21 this year as Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) awarded the limited overs series opener between India and West Indies to the city.

BCCI on Tuesday announced the full list of international fixtures for Windies' tour of India, starting with a Test in Rajkot on October 4. The tour includes two Tests, five one-day internationals and three Twenty20 Internationals, and runs till November 11.

The Barsapara stadium in Guwahati made its international debut on October 10 last year by playing host to the 2nd T20i between India and West Indies, which did not leave good memories for the people of the state as Australia went on to thrash India in the match winning it by 8 wickets.

This Windies tour will also see Lucknow making its international debut as Ekana International Cricket Stadium is set to get its first taste of international cricket. Lucknow will host the 2nd T20i on November 6.

1st T20I:  4 November, Kolkata
2nd T20I: 6 November, Lucknow
3rd T20I: 11 November, Chennai
