Guwahati: Raj Bhavan vehicle hits person, dies

In what seems like utter negligence of those in power, a vehicle of the Raj Bhavan hit a scooty rider in Guwahati's Uzanbazar Thursday morning at around 9:30.

According to reports, the scooty rider identified as one Sailen Das was hit by a Raj Bhavan vehicle with registration number-AS 30 7192. He was rushed to the Gauhati Medical College and Hospital for immediate medical attention, however, he succumbed to his injuries in the evening.

Familymember of Das have alleged that due to unavailability of the ICU, he had tomeet his untimely death.

It has been informed that no representative of the Raj Bhavan attempted to reach out to the family of Sailen Das.

The family has also alleged that the Latashil police station is also not paying any heed to the complaint because of the involvement of the Raj Bhavan's vehicle.
