In a sensational incident, Guwahati Police on Thursday evening recovered the dead body of a woman who was brutally chopped to pieces at her residence in Boragaon. The woman's husband has been detained in this connection.

As per reports of Pratidin Time, the chopped-up body pieces of the deceased were found wrapped in polythene bags inside the bedroom.

The deceased has been identified as one Antima Gupta, and her husband is Santosh Gupta.

Santosh Gupta had registered a missing complaint of his wife at Gorchuk police station on Wednesday afternoon. The couple resided in a rented house.

Guwahati police is conducting further investigation into the matter. Their phones have been recovered.
