Guwahati: Govt Employee Arrested after Stealing Mobile Phone

Deputy Director of Town and Country Planning, Government of Assam, Md. Ali Ashraf has been arrested after he stole a mobile phone from a store in Guwahati.

The stealing of the mobile phone has been captured in the CCTV camera after which an FIR has been lodged at Satgaon police station. The police arrested Ashraf based on the FIR.

The FIR lodged in the Satgaon police station stated, "The deputy director Ali Ashraf has stolen a mobile phone Samsung A-507FZKVINS which was registered in the name of Yash Ahmed, son of Raju Ahmed, an employee of 'Yash Josh' store situated at Baghorbori Tiniali."
