Guidelines for TET examination announced

The candidates of Assam Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) 2019 will have to sign their answer scripts, otherwise, they will be considered as absentees. The decision regarding this was taken by the State Education Department during a meeting at the SEBA office.

The examination for the LowerPrimary section will start at 8:30 AM while the examination for the UpperPrimary section will begin at 12:30 PM on November 10 in 33 districts.

The officials of the education department have informed that the DCs and SDCs, as well as the respective Police stations of the districts, will take care the security measures at the examination centres.

The Assam TET examination will be held after a gap of seven years and it will also be the first TET examination to be held after Sarbananda Sonowal-led BJP government came to power in the State.

It may be mentioned here that thereare 17,292 posts of teachers are lying vacant across the State. Among these,10,137 are in the lower primary level and 7,155 posts are lying vacant in theupper primary level.
