Governor offers prayer at Basistha Temple on his birthday

Assam Governor Prof. Jagdish Mukhi on his 77th birthday on Saturday visited the Basistha Temple in Guwahati and offered his prayers and sought blessings.

Prof. Jagdish Mukhi took charge as the Governor of Assam on October 10, 2017. Prior to that, he was the Lieutenant Governor of Andaman and Nicobar Islands and Minister of Finance, Planning, Excise & Taxation and Higher Education in the Delhi government.

Meanwhile, Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal took to his Twitter handle to wish Governor Mukhi.

"Heartiest birthday greetings to Hon'ble Governor of Assam Shri Jagdish Mukhi ji. I pray for your good health and long life," CM tweeted.
