Fourth day of 108,102 employees protest

The protest against GVK EMRI by the 108 and 102 employees entered fourth day on Saturday. As many as 380 employees of the Mrityunjoy 108 ambulance service and 316 employees of the 102 ambulance service have gone on an indefinite strike since September 4.

The administration has imposed Sec 144 which made the employees move from the head office of GVK EMRI where they have been protesting.  But the protesters resumed the protest in the vicinity of the head office.

Meanwhile, Akhil Gogoi today joined the protest  launched by 108 and 102 employees. GVK EMRI have put a notice on newspaper dismissing the ERO, EMT and 108 Mrityunjay emergency service  employees saying that the contract between Assam government an GVK EMRI will end on 30th Sept.

As a result the emergency service of the state have come to a halt.
