Former Sports Personality Durga Prasad Bora Succumbs to COVID-19

Former Joint Director of Industry and Commerce, and player Durga Prasad Bora succumbed to COVID-19 on Monday. He was 94.

A resident of Silpukhuri, Durga Prasad Bora left behind his wife Anu Bora and three daughters.

Bora served as the President of Assam Tennis Association for 16 years and also served as the President of India Club and Guwahati Club.

He was also a former Badminton championship. He also earned reputation as Tennis, Cricket and Golf player.

Several organizations and persons from sports field condoled the death of Bora.
