Flights between Guwahati and ASEAN nations to start by October: Chandra Mohan Patowary

Assam Industries and Commerce Minister Chandra Mohan Patowary on Monday said that flights between Guwahati and ASEAN nations are being planned from the LGBI airport this October.

The minister informed that plans are being set to start six flights.

It may be mentioned here that the government had announced the flights during Advantage Assam Global Investors Summit 2018, organised in February this year.

Patowary also informed that ITC shall set up a manufacturing plant in Kamrup. "A jute manufacturing unit and a jute mill shall also be set up at Chaygaon and Tihu" he added.
