Massive fire broke out at the Jagaran, the showroom ofArtfed, near the AGP office in Ambari, Guwahati on Saturday night.

More than six fire tenders rushed to the spot immediately after the incident to contain the fire. The fire has been brought under control and there have been no casualties reported.

However, the fire gutted properties worth several lakhs and various documents. "It was the account section of Artfed and all the important documents of the accounts department gutted during the fire," said an employee of Artfed.

Fire department officials suspect short circuit as the reason for the fire.
