The temporaryBill Clerk, Meter Reader Workers' Association on Wednesday staged a massiveprotest in front of the Bijulee Bhawan in Guwahati demanding declaration of thewritten examination results.

They furtherdemanded to regularise their jobs by announcing the results. "The AEGCL shoulddeclare the results of the written examination and regularise our jobs,"demanded a protestor.

It may be mentioned here that the AEGCL has not yet declared the results of the written examination conducted in April 28 to fulfill regular posts of meter reader, bill clerk etc. in the department.
