Education Minister to hold meeting with TET teachers

AssamEducation Minister Siddhartha Bhattacharya on Wednesday said that he is readyto hold discussions with the Assam TET qualified teacher, which are currently demandingregularisation of their jobs.

Speakingto Pratidin Time's Editor-in-Chief, Nitumoni Saikia, Minister SiddharthaBhattacharya called for a meeting with the leaders of protesting TET qualifiedteachers at 11 AM on June 28.

Earlier on Tuesday, Minister Bhattacharya announced to extend the validity of their certificates. Participating in Abhimat show of Pratidin Time, the Minister had also said that the TET qualified teachers need not have to reappear in TET examinations. "We have already initiated process to extend the validity of their certificates," the Minister had said.
