Locals of Golaghat district in collaboration with AJYCP and mini truck owners' association of Merapani have started indefinite economic blockade against neighbouring state of Nagaland at Merapani  from today morning.

They have blocked the link road which goes to Nagaland. The blockade has been called against alleged attack over Assam drivers by miscreants of Nagaland in the neighbour state.

The district administration failed to bring break the ice. The protesters are adamant in demanding justice who became victim in miscreants attack in Nagaland.
