#DoctorAttack | AMSA Demands Justice

The Assam Medical Service Association (AMSA) has condemned and demanded strong action on the brutality over dedicated doctor who worked day and night for the well-being of those people who killed him.

AMSA demands :

  • Immediate arrest of all culprits responsible for the incident and to take action according to "Assam Medicare Service Personnel and Medicare Service Institutions (Prevention of Violence and Damage to Properties) Act, 2011.
  • Special armed security force for health institutions.
  • At least one Police outpost at or near to health institutions etc.

AMSA feels that not taking any strong action will lead to further injustice as this have been happening from a long time and may continue indefinitely, AMSA will go with all Doctors fraternity and other health service Associations/ organizations of Assam and Centre, if Govt. fails to take necessary steps.

Dr. Deben Dutta a physician of Teok TE of Jorhat district was brutally attacked by miscreants of Teok TE on Saturday, when he was on duty. He succumb his life to those injuries on the way for treatment to Jorhat Medical College on same evening on Assam Medical Service Association (AMSA) has strongly condemned the heinous assault on Dr. Deben Dutta.
