Directorate of Fisheries selling fish in Guwahati

The Directorate of Fisheries has set up stalls for Uruka today. These stalls selling fish have been opened from 7 AM.

The stalls have been set up at Chandmari, Noonmati, Wireless, Rupnagar and Maligaon among few others. The prices at these stalls is reported to be less than the market prices.

According to official reports, these stalls expect to sell around 1,500 kg of fresh traditional varieties of fish such as Rou, Bhokua and Chital.

The fist stock is reportedly brought from cooperative societies, giving them a platform to sell their harvest.
