Digboi: Youth Congress Seized Five Coal Laden Trucks

In an operation launched by the Youth Congress of Digboi, five coal-laden trailer trucks have been seized at Nirupama petrol pump near Bogapani.

The trailer bearing number PB 05 AL-5967, PB 05 AL 6458, PB 05 AK 3313, PB 05 AL6558, PB 05 AL 8825 have been seized from the petrol pump and handed over tothe Digboi police.

However, thedriver and the handyman of the trailer trucks have absconded after beingseized. The trucks were carrying the coal without any valid documents.

The youth congress said that although the Coal India has banned moving of coal trucks through roadways still the coal syndicate is rising at an alarming rate and it was smuggled on a daily basis.  They also alleged that the coal syndicate is running in the state with the consent of the state government and this has been proved.
