Denied Ambulance, Man Carries Child On Shoulder In Bihar

In a shocking incident in Nalanda district of Bihar, a man was forced to carry his eight-year-old son on his shoulder due to the unavailability of an ambulance at the government hospital.

The incident occurred at Sadar Hospital in Nalanda on Tuesday.

It was informed that the boy was brought to the hospital after he complained of fever and abdominal pain.

District Magistrate Yogendra Singh said that an inquiry will be conducted regarding the matter.

"If negligence is found then strict action will be taken," Singh said.

It may be mentioned here that 131 children have died in Muzaffarpur district of Bihar due to acute encephalitis syndrome (AES).
