Declared Foreigner Released from Tezpur Detention Camp

Uttam Karmakar, who was declared foreigner five years ago, has been released from Tezpur detention camp on Friday.

Karmakar was released in bail as per the order of the court and afterfive years he sets free under the open sky at 10 No ward at Lanka in Hojaidistrict.

Seeing her son after five years, Karmakar's mother becomes emotional. Hisyounger brother and mother are physically handicapped and he is the only sourceof income.

He was declared a foreigner by Foreigners Tribunal although he had submitted valid documents and has to stay in various detention camps.

One social worker, Haradhan Mazumder seeks his bail and helped him to get released from the detention camp as he is the only hope of the house.
