In a horrific incident, dead body of a young college girl was found in the Tinsukia-Rangia passenger train on Tuesday near Simaluguri in Assam's Sibsagar.

The dead body was recovered in a semi naked condition in the toilet.

The police are suspecting a case of rape and murder from prima facie of the body that was recovered in semi naked condition.

The girl's face was brutally thrashed as heap of blood covered her face in an attempt probably to shut her up following the heinous crime by the murderer.

The unfortunate girl was a student of Assam Agricultural University, Jorhat.
