CPI(M) protest seeking supply of drinking water

Demanding various facilities including potable drinking water, land for daily market in Basistha Chariali, fly over in Garchuk, the CPI (M) activists staged a protest dharna here on Tuesday.

They claimed that the municipality was supplying water only twice a week and in some of the areas, residents don't even get that.

The protesters also demanded to allot myadi land pattas to indigenous peasants and people, who are living in govt. land.
