CM vigilance raids on IAS officer’s houses

The Chief Minister's Vigilance Cell  last night  raided the residence of senior bureaucrats  Priyangshu Bairagi and Chauhan Doley,IAS, as both of them were accused of Assam Building and Construction Wokers Welfare case.

Both of them have been accused of swindling public money menats for the laboureres.. The Vigilience teamOn the strength of the search warrants issued by the Special Court, Assam, raided three houses, in the past 3 days.

Earlier during course of investigation, 3 house properties were identified in New Delhi which were  purchased by the accused and they were suepceted to be of the slush money of the scam

One of the three flats that have been identified and searched is a 3-bedroom flat (No. A-23) at Chittaranjan Park, New Delhi belonging to Guna Doley, wife of arrested accused Chauhan Doley, the then Secretary of (ABOCWWB). The flat was purchased on March 29, 2016 from Sabh Infrastructure Ltd (builders) at Rs. 1.4 crore.

Another property, a 3-bedroom flat (No C-45) at Neeti Bagh, New Delhi, belongs to Priyangshu Boiragi, a resident of Beltola ,Guwahati. He purchased it from Sabharwal Apartments Private Limited (builders) at Rs 3 crore.

The third property is also a 3-bedroom flat (No E-122-A) at Greater Kailash Part-II, New Delhi. It also belongs to Priayngshu Boiragi. He purchased it on December 11, 2014 from Sabh Infrastructure Ltd (builders) at Rs 2.05 crore.

Further follow up action is being taken in this regard. The properties were purchased in the period from the year 2014 to 2016 , which coincided with the period during which the scam was committed.
