CM Sarbananda Sonowal reviews progress of Guwahati and Urban development department projects

Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal on Tuesday reviewed progress of works and projects under the Guwahati Development Department at Janata Bhawan, Guwahati.

Assam cabinet ministers Atul Bora and Pijush Hazarika were also present to assist the CM in reviewing the development progress.

Sarbananda Sonowal directed officials to introduce an online single window clearance system under GMC for permission regarding construction of buildings.

CM Sonowal also reviewed progress of works and projects under Urban Development Department in the same meeting. The CM directed officials to release funds of Rs 15,000 each to 10, 000 Self Help Groups in urban areas.

Sarbananda Sonowal also directed officials to introduce uniform and safety kit for 'Safai Karmcharis' in Guwahati and address issues faced by them.

The CM also stressed on beautification of entry and exit points of cities across Assam.
