CM Sarbananda Sonowal attends Mahila Samaroh in Nagaon

Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal on Tuesday attended Mahila Samaroh in Nagaon. Present in the ceremony along with the CM were BJP Assam president Ranjeet Kumar Dass, MoS Rajen Gohain, ministers Naba Kumar Doley, Ranjit Dutta and other party MLAs among others.

CM Sonowal distributed funds to 9,390 beneficiary Self Help Groups (SHGs) under Kanaklata Mahila Sabalikaran Asoni during the samaroh.

Speaking on the occasion, the CM said "We must ensure that products and produce of the SHGs finds a proper market. I urge Ministry of Railways to dedicate one chamber in trains of the region for their exhibition. I also request Airports Authority of India to set up a dedicated counter in LGBI Airport, Guwahati for the same purpose: CM

"A daughter of Nagaon has made the nation and Assam proud. Hima Das's rise and worldwide adulation of her feats should be inspiration for all women of the State. Through this Mahila Samaroh, I urge women to take all opportunities and lead the growth journey of Assam," the CM added.
