City To Get Clean by Flying Squad

Garbage dumping has been one of the major problems in Guwahati and in order to solve the problem, Guwahati Municipal Corporation (GMC) has launched an operation for waste treatment in the city. The municipal board has started the Flying Squad and Mass Awareness programme in the city in order to make the city free from the garbage.

Minister Siddhartha Bhattacharyya inaugurated the mission on Tuesday saying that through the flying squad and mass awareness programme, the city will be free from garbage dumping.

Talkingabout the artificial flood problem, Bhattacharyya said that the flood seems tobe a bit less in the city. He also said that the problem of drinking water willalso be reduced by 2021.

12flying squad vehicles have brought in the initial stage.
