A child marriage attempt has been foiled in Barpeta on Friday. The incident took place at Majarchar village of Alopati in Barpeta district.
As per reports, the Alopati Police have rescued the teenage girl who was forced to marriage. The groom has been identified as Ismail Hussain, a resident of Majarchar village of Alopati.
It has also been reported that the Alopati Police have arrested two individuals in relation with the child marriage along with the groom, Ismail Hussain in the case.
