Cash & arms seized in Arunachal ahead of elections

Ahead of the coming Assembly and Lok Sabha elections in Arunachal Pradesh, the police have seized huge amount of cash, arms and ammunition from different parts of the State including capital Itanagar. Cash around Rs. 28 lakhs have been seized within last two days in the State.

The list of seizure also included 8 rifles, 15 live rounds and 48 local doas. Also many posters and banners defacing the public properties were also removed.

According to reports, State Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Kaling Tayeng said that appropriate measures are being put in place to check such kinds of illegal transaction and cash movements.
