BSF Jawan Allegedly Molests 7-Year-Old in Mankachar

The local people under Mankachar PS in Assam-Bangladesh border beat a BSF jawan on Wednesday after he was alleged to have molesting a 7-year-old girl.

As per reports on Wednesday morning at around 11 am in Kakoripara village under Mankachar PS a lady along with her 7-year-old daughter had gone near the BSF Guardroom for drying areca nut. And when the mother was not nearby, the accused BSF jawan, identified as Amar Nayak, asked the victim to bring him some 'gutkha' like substance and when the girl brought the same, Nayak took her inside the guardroom and tried to molest her.

The villagers nearby heard the girl's cries for help and they rushed to the guardroom and rescued the girl.

The situation came under control after police and senior BSF officials intervened.

The agitated villagers snatched the jawan's rifle and beat him black and blue.

The accused jawan was severely injured and has been referred to Tura Civil Hospital for further treatment.
