Boy who made fake account of police Commissioner found; already in jail for another case

Cyber crime and use of social media for unethical use is on the rise in Assam. This has been an issue of major concern in the State and one such came to light recently when a person started operating a fake account of Assam Commissioner of Police Hiren Chandra Nath.

Assam police were today able to find the miscreant who is responsible for opening and operating the fake account of Hiren Chandra Nath. The miscreant has been identified as one Laksya Jyoti Phukan, a resident of Rajagaon under Raha police station in Nagaon district.

But the story doesn't end here. Interestingly, Phukan is already in judicial custody for another case registered with Raha Police Station.

Phukan is in judicial custody in connection with a case registered with Raha Police Station. The case number is 142/18 under section 153(A)/504/507 of IPC r/w Ssec 66f under the I.T Act.

Guwahati police will soon seek his remand from Raha police station.
