Guwahati police have cracked the Boragaon murder case and it has been revealed that one Debjani Das had brutally murdered Antima Gupta on Thursday before chopping her body in pieces.

During interrogation today, Debjani has confessed to bludgeoning her to death following a fight.

Sources said the fight occurred due to Debjani's illicit relationship with the victim's husband, Santosh Gupta.

After battering her, Debjani chopped her body into pieces and hid it in a plastic bag inside the bedroom.

Earlier today, city police had detained the family members along with Debjani Das for questioning.

On Wednesday, Santosh Gupta had registered a missing complaint of his wife at Gorchuk police station. The couple resided in a rented house.

Her chopped-up body was found late yesterday at her residence in Boragaon.
