Black Flags waved at CM Sonowal’s convoy again

Pratidin Bureau

Protesting against the Citizenship (Amendment) Bill 2016, Students Federation of India (SFI) and Krishak Mukti Sangram Samiti (KMSS) activists  waved black at Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal convoy  again. This time the incident occurred at Chirang districts Bijni. Reportedly Sonowal went to inaugurate a private institute at Bijni called North East Military School.

The protesters expressed their wrath against Sonowal and said,  While the Chief Ministers of the North Eastern states  have been opposing the Bill, however, the Assam CM has been exaggerating the bill and wants it to be passed at any cost". They also shouted slogans against the CM and the Bill.

This is not the first time the Assam CM is shown black flag as a protest against the C'ship Bill

Few days ago, Asom Jatiyatabadi Yuba Chatra Parishad (AJYCP) waved black flags at Sonowal's convoy as it entered the Bihu venue at the century-old Nehrubal Bhogali Bihu and released black balloons when he unfurled the Bihu flag.
