Black flag to Himanta: BJP workers threaten AASU member

In an act of hooliganism, the BJP workers in Pathsala threatened an AASU member for allegedly waving black flag at Assam finance minister Himanta Biswa Sarma. The Minister faced black flags at Pathsala in Barpeta district on Tuesday (January 22).

According to reports, the BJP workers visited AASU member Dip Ganguly's home and threatened to take hostile action against him. The BJP worker also asked Dip as to why he has been engaged to AASU, even after belonging from a Bengali community.

Addressing a press conference on Thursday, Pathsala AASU condemned such act by the BJP workers and alleged the saffron party workers of involving in spreading communal tension in the area.
