A murder has taken place at the Abhayapuri region in Bongaigaon on Sundaynight.

As per reports, the deceased has been identified as Kanailal Sarkar resident of the same region who was an active BJP worker of the Abhayapuri region.

Reportedly, the unidentified miscreants had attacked him with a sharp weapon and disposed of his body near the Haju – Abhayapuri connecting bridge of Dharmapur.

It may be stated that lots of cut marks are seen on the body of the deceased and it has been suspected that, it was a planned murder.

The locals of the region are demanding to arrest the murderer and proper inquiry in this regard.
