Following the demise of Goa Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar, the BJP has cancelled all official programmes of the party.

The party in a statement said, "All official programmes of the Bharatiya Janata Party, including the Central Election Committee (CEC) meeting scheduled for Monday, have been cancelled following the demise of Goa Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar."

As CEC would not meet today, the final list of candidates for the coming LS polls for Assam and other States will not be announced today.

So the party workers, expecting candidature for their leaders have to wait till Tuesday to see whether they have made it to the list or not.
