Assam's promising swimmer Shivangi Sarma won Silver Medal in 400m Free Style (Timing-4:30:55sec) at the 73rd Senior National Aquatic Championship 2019 held at Prakash Taran Pushkar Swimming Pool Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh.

After Assamese girl and ace swimmer Fariha Zaman, Shivangi Sarma won the Silver Medal. Shivangi is going to represent 10th Asian Age Group Swimming Championship on September 2019. Shivangi Sarma is also qualified for Khelo India Youth Games 2019.

The 73 National senior aquatic championships may be a qualification event for next year's Tokyo Olympics and next month's Asian age-group championships but there was no dope-testing on the opening day here.
