The question papers of the written examination for the post of sub-inspector (SI) of Assam police reportedly went viral on social media platforms on Sunday.

The questions papers were viewed by many aspiring candidates through different social media platforms.

The SI written exam was conducted on Sunday .

This has raised questions on thefairness of the exam that was conducted, though Assam police is yet to release any official statement in this regard.

Many sections of the public have also questioned the Assam government and the police department regarding the scam and demanded a probe into the matter.

It may be mentioned that a similar incident had occurred on September 20,2020 when the question paper of the written examination for unarmed sub-inspectors were leaked.

Assam police had conducted the written examination to select candidates to 597 posts of unarmed sub-inspectors.

The State Level Police Recruitment Board (SLPRB) had to cancel the test minutes after it commenced across the state on that day.
