Assam police successfully apprehended a suspected linkman of the banned ULFA-I faction in Sonari on Thursday.

The individual, identified as Tulsi Gogoi (34) from Tenga Pukhuri Koliapani in Charaideo, was taken into custody following intelligence inputs.

Gogoi is currently being interrogated as authorities probe deeper into his alleged connections with the insurgent outfit.

The arrest marks another significant step in the ongoing crackdown against anti-national activities in the region.
