Assam: Night Curfew Time Imposed from 11 PM

The Assam Government has issued revised Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)s for COVID-19. The state government has revised the curfew time from 10 pm to 11 pm with effect from Tuesday (October 26).

The other guidelines issued by the state government are as follows:

  • Opening of workplaces and business establishments shall remain open till 10 pm
  • Functioning of government and private offices should follow usual working hours but not beyond 10 pm
  • Opening of shops and commercial establishments shall remain open till 10 pm
  • Shops dealing with groceries, fruits and vegetables, dairy and milk booths shall remain open till 10 pm
  • Dine in restaurants, dhabas and eateries shall remain open till 10 pm with 50% seating capacity
  • Take away from dhabas and other eateries will be allowed till 10 pm
  • Not more than 50 single vaccinated persons will be allowed in marriage and other religious functions
  • 60 fully vaccinated persons will be allowed per hour to visit the iconic places and 40 fully vaccinated persons per hour in other religious places
  • Not more than 50 persons will be allowed in funerals
  • Delivery of essential goods through e-commerce will be allowed round the clock
  • Weekly haat/bazaars will be allowed to open in shift of maximum 6 hours
  • Cinema Halls/ Theatres will be allowed with 50% seating capacity for fully vaccinated persons
