Assam police on Wednesday arrested a man in North Lakhimpur for allegedly stabbing to death a 20-year-old youth over a game of Ludo on May 15.
The accused has been identified as Afzat Ali.
According to sources, the incident occurred when the accused and five others including the victim, Issad Ali had been playing Ludo.
Aszat reportedly got into a heated argument with Issad, which led to a physical fight between the duo.
Issad sustained grieveous injuries after he had been allegedly stabbed during the fight.
Locals rushed him to a nearby hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead.
The accused reportedly fled the scene after the incident.
Police later nabbed him from Mohghuli, in Naoboicha under Lakhimpur district today.
