Assam govt’s negligence has led to Dhola incident: Harish Rawat

Pratidin Bureau

Better late than never as Assam Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC)'s coordinator Harish Rawat has finally spoken about the Dhola firing incident and condemned it.

Speaking at a press meet, Rawat said, "On behalf of Rahul Gandhi I condemn the incident."

Alleging that it was BJP's policy to divide and rule that has led to the incident, the coordinator said that the Sonowal led government did not take action in time, adding that we had already warned of the negative consequences.

Due to the government's negligence, it has been unsuccessful in capturing the accused, claimed Rawat. Paying a hefty sum as compensation is not enough, he added.
