Assam gets its first mobile cinema hall

Pratidin Bureau

From now on the people of Assam will get the opportunity to watch cinemas in mobile cinema halls. The 'Prag Picture Time' will provide an experience much similar to that of mobile theatres, which is very common in the state's entertainment arena.

The initiative has been taken up by AM private limited. The portable mobile cinema can be easily setup, which also has an UFO projector. The portable hall will also be able to screen all the newly released films simultaneously with other cinema halls of the country.

"The Assamese films would get priority in the mobile cinema hall", said Sanjeev Narayan, the owner of AM private limited. The hall has been inaugurated on August 15 at Assam Engineering Institute (AEI) playground. The mobile cinema hall is equipped with all the features of any contemporary cinema hall.

At the inauguration event the Cinema hall screened Hiren Bora's "Seema…The Untold Story ". Many eminent faces of Assam were present at its debut screening.   BJP MP Bijoya Chakravarty who was present at the event appreciated Narayans effort in giving Assamese film industry a new dimension.

Editor-in-Chief of leading Assamese news channel Pratidin Time, Nitumoni Sakia also acknowledged Narayan's effort and said that nothing could be a better gift then this to the people of Assam on I-day.

This hall is expected to have an advantage over the contemporary cinema halls as it capable of being shifted from one place to the other.

Sanjeeb Narayan has an ambitious project of launching ten such cinema halls by December this year. The viewers would be able to book their tickets online, mentioned Narayan.
