Assam DGP Bhaskar Jyoti Mahanta Tests COVID-19+

Assam Director General of Police (DGP) Bhaskar Jyoti Mahanta has tested positive for COVID-19 on Monday. His driver has also been infected with the virus.

However, his security guards have been tested negative of the virus.

The DGP was suffering from fever since yesterday and has undergone tests today where his results came out positive.

Meanwhile, 2259 police personnel of Assam Police have tested positive of the virus out of which 1734 have recovered and rejoined duties.
