Assam: Bor Alengi Satra Sattradhikar Bhabananda Debnath Passes Away

Bhabananda Debnath, the Sattradhikar of Shri Shri Bor Alengi Satra in Assam’s Majuli, passed away on Thursday morning. He was 85.

He breathed his last at Gauhati Medical College Hospital (GMCH) in Guwahati, where he was undergoing treatment for age-related ailments.

Debnath had served as Sattradhikar since 1985, enriching both spiritual and social life in Majuli. Affectionately known as "Bhav Gokhai," his death has left the region in mourning.
