ASHA Supervisors protest for better salary and allowances

Accredited Social Health Activists (ASHA) held a demonstration demanding better salary, risk allowance, filling of vacant posts and resolution of pay anomalies.

The protesters under the banner of the ASHA Workers Association with support of NHM ASHA Supervisor Employee Association (NASEA) held a protest rally in Guwahati. The ASHA workers raised slogans against the state government.

They said memorandum of demands had been submitted to government officials and public representatives, but there has been no response from the authorities.
