APSC scam : Three accused remanded to police custody

Three officials, who were arrested in the Assam Public Service Commission (APSC) cash-for-job scam, have been remanded to police custody today.

Bhangagarh Police have taken them into custody from the jail where they were lodged following court's decision to send them to judicial custody.

The three accused officials are Bikash Pinja, Kaushik Kalita and Kunal Das.

The officials have been sent to special branch in Kahilipara where they are being interrogated for their connection in the case.

The three have been accused of taking bribe as broker/intermediary from APSC candidates in promise of assured jobs in the irrigation department.

The special court has asked the police to produce them in court on September 24
