Pratidin Bureau

Rakesh Gupta, one of the prime accused in the infamous APSC cash-for-job scam has been approved bail by a special court, on Tuesday.

Gupta surrendered before the Special Court on April 11 after remaining traceless for more than one-and-half year.

Gupta has been absconding since an investigating team of Assam Police started arresting several serving ACS and APS officials on charges of securing their plum jobs by bribing the former APSC chairman Rakesh Paul.
