The Assam Public Service Commission (APSC) on Wednesday announced that the Combined Competitive (Preliminary) Examination, 2018 which was scheduled to be held on November 24 has been postponed till further notice.

There was a speculation doing the rounds that the APSC might postpone the CC(P) Exam, 2018 due to some circumstances.

"While the APSC is keen on holding the examination to the Combined Competitive (Prel), 2018 as per announcement and as per schedule, but for circumstances beyond the control of the commission, the examination to the CC(P), 2018 now has to be postponed," read a press notice issued by the Secretary of APSC.

The new date for the examination has not been announced as of now but the officials said it will be soon be notified via website and press release.
